Toyota Tundra Side Mirror Removal

Often times a side mirror cover is the only part of a side mirror assembly that gets damaged.

Roll down windows remove sail panel fully remove door panel unclip mirror harness connection remove 3 10mm nuts holding the mirror making sure not to drop them into the door and remove old mirror. Pop the plastic cover off of the inside of the door handle then remove the phillips screw inside there. Loosen the phillips screw on the part of the door panel where you grab to close the door.

Usually in parking lots or unfortunately in your own garage. It s the housing that covers the entire assembly except the glass. Remove the cover on the inside of the mirror. Side mirrors get banged up a lot.

If you are replacing your mirrors this is a quick run down. I understood that a person should turn the mirror 90 degrees left or right and then pull down and the mirror would come off. Mine will not budge and i don t want to break anything. I used a flat screw driver to push up the four tabs that i could see to release them careful not to pry or put pressure on the glass mirror don t want to go down that road.
